We
assess each and every project to identify possible
concerns that could lead to future concrete problems.
As an example, concrete driveways that meet up in
a cul-de-sac are particularly prone to cracking
at the corners of the foot of the driveway because
heavy trucks such as garbage trucks/ municipal trucks
often drive onto these corners. Concrete is particularly
vulnerable to cracking in these corners so we will
recommend separateing the corner with a nicely curved
expansion joint so that the corner can move if needed
from a heavy truck - without cracking your driveway.
We
are also well experienced with planning out and
placing proper control joints to ensure a long-term
crack-free concrete surface. If you are interested
in a durable and decorative concrete finish, we
will also provide you with a quality long-term solution.
We can also discuss with you specialized protective
concrete surfaces and concrete sealing.
If
you look closely at the photo below on the left,
this is a driveway we were asked to refinish. It
is apparent that the original concrete finish installed
was not durable as you can see where the sealant
quickly wore off where the car tires travel. The
photo on the right shows the driveway after The
Crackman refinished the concrete driveway with a
high quality, long lasting and durable sealant.
Photo
of a poorly applied. failed concrete driveway
sealant - car tires have worn away the surface.
